Republicans Offer Amendments to Increase Safety on Our Roadways

Due to the increase in wrong way driving incidents and traffic fatalities, we have a legislative responsibility to our residents to take action and increase safety along our roadways.
Current Connecticut law does not permit a law enforcement officer from pulling over a vehicle where a driver is seen smoking marijuana or if the induvial is smoking marijuana with children in the car.

House Republicans Offer Plan to Balance FY25 Budget

In lieu of the lack of budgetary action from the majority members of the Appropriation Committee, my House Republican colleagues and I have released a plan to adjust the $25.9 billion budget for fiscal year 2025 (which would become effective on July 1).

This plan keeps a promise to our residents by honoring the fiscal guardrails, pursuing structural reforms, focusing on affordability, and increasing funding for local education.

Nonprofit Grant Awarded to Connecticut Community Care in Bristol

I’m happy to announce Connecticut Community Care in Bristol has been awarded a grant through the state’s Nonprofit Grant Program. While not located in the part of Bristol I represent, this organization and the people it serves is an important resource to the Bristol community.

Grants received through this program are used to help support capital projects. This includes – facility alterations, renovations, improvements, and additions; new construction; health, safety, and Americans with Disabilities
