Tribute

Jack J. Mancini, 62, passed away on Friday (September 10, 2021). Jackie was born on September 11, 1958 to the late Jack and Giovanna Mancini. A lifelong Bristol resident, he graduated from Bristol Central High School where he was selected as a member of the Colonial Conference All Star Track Team. After high school, Jack enlisted to serve in the United States Navy where he was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
He was an avid Mets fan, and also enjoyed attending March Madness Basketball games. He was passionate about cars, especially Corvettes, Cadillacs, and Escalades which he sold for many years at a local dealership. His signature prize for his customers was to always present them with a jar of Mancini Peppers. Jack enjoyed fishing, spending time at the ocean, and traveling. Jackie also liked reminiscing about the good times spent with friends throughout the years.
Above all, he loved being with his dog, Chico and his cat, Chica; who were his loyal and faithful companions.
Jack was very proud of his Italian heritage. He absolutely adored his mother Giovanna’s cooking and his goal was to replicate many of the delicious recipes she prepared so lovingly for her family.
Jack is survived by his sister, Donna Luzi and her husband, Armand; his brothers, David Mancini and Domenic Mancini and his wife, Trish; and his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Mancini, wife of his brother Frank Mancini, who predeceased him in 2018.
Jack enjoyed being in the company of his nephews: David Mancini Jr. and his wife Joelle, Nickolas Mancini and his wife Elaine, Jake Mancini; and his niece: Carmela Luzi and her fiancé Rob Phelps. His great nephews Gavin and Cole always brought a smile to his face. Jack also leaves many cousins. Among them, Tom and Carmela Murphy who held a special place in his heart.
