| |
Join the FUN on FRIDAY, JULY 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. as LEONARDO sings summer songs in the Children’s Department at the Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, Bristol! Songwriter Leonardo will perform a concert for children and families featuring songs from his Parents’ Choice Award winning CD “Makin’ Lemonade”. Leonardo’s concerts are a blend of high energy, humor, and interactive slices of musical fun. Leonardo plays acoustic guitar, percussion, and assorted noisemakers. Audiences are encouraged to sing, dance and shake along to catchy songs with themes of self-esteem, imagination, nature, tolerance, and safety. And with song titles such as “How Did the Chicken Cross the Road?” and “Computer Ate My Homework”, parents will be sure to enjoy the show as well. Chicago native Leonardo has been a traveling professional musician for over 12 years performing throughout the U.S and Europe releasing three recordings of acoustic based songs. “Makin’ Lemonade” is his debut Children’s CD and incorporates a melodic mix of instruments, styles and rhythms the whole family can enjoy together. Publishers Weekly stated,” Few things say optimism like the idea of making lemonade out of life’s lemons. Happily, Leonardo’s debut recording for kids is in keeping with this sunny outlook.” And School Library Journal said “each song displays remarkable understanding of a child’s world.” “Lemons into Lemonade” is FREE and open to KIDS OF ALL ages!
